Memory Garden

The Council developed a “Memory Garden” on the grounds of the Centre in October 2006.  This project gives family and friends the opportunity to honour their loved ones by planting a tree or shrub.  A plaque with a name and other wording can be placed in front of the planting.  We have one planting every year, in October.

As we all know, a garden provides tremendous enjoyment to all of us.  Enhancing the garden will help give the residents a reason to sit outside and look at beautiful trees and shrubs and improve their quality of life.

We chose Peter Knippel Nursery to do the plantings.  They provided us with many wonderful ideas for the layout of the Memory Garden.  The price list below includes installation and taxes. Prices may vary.

Each family will be responsible for the plaque to be placed in front of their tree or shrub.  We have made arrangements with Familiar Faces Engraving to make these, as the Centre wants all the plaques to be uniform.  The approximate cost of the plaque is $30.  Familiar Faces is aware that Peter D. Clark families will be contacting them directly and will know the materials to be used.  They are located at 2951 Carling Avenue and their telephone number is 613-828-7634.

Please use the attached order form, in PDF format. You may fill it out online before printing it, or you may print it out and then complete it by hand. When ordering, please make your cheque payable to the Family and Friends Council, Peter D. Clark LTCC. You may either mail your order to the address on the order form, or drop it off at reception. Please submit your order by September 15 so we can include it in our October planting.

Thank you for your participating in this very worthwhile project.
